A Christian In Business - What This Looks Like
If you are a Christian in Business you may have started out in network marketing after much prayer. And you probably feel strongly that your choice was prompted by the Holy Ghost. Making the decision to enter into any type of business should never be taken lightly and now that your decision is made you are probably, rightfully, taking it very seriously.
The challenges that present themselves to every network marketer have also presented themselves to you and you may find yourself feeling very frustrated, and "why would God encourage me to participate in a business that I'm not making any money from?" may be a question that comes to your mind almost daily.
Being a Christian in this business of network marketing means that you have taken on the job of building a team that is capable of earning a substantial income by doing the same activities that you do. You are also coming to realize that it is less about the money and more about the people on your team. You realize that this is an opportunity to do missionary work every single day.
Understand that I am not saying that you should go out and sell people on being a Christian... even though we all want to see the ranks of Christianity swell along the way. However, I am saying that we need to be make connections with people that are respectful and based on loving service. I guess the best word really is Charity. We need to be examples of the pure love of Christ.
If your sole motivation is to fill your own pockets by having these people do what you do how can you expect the Lord to bless your efforts. He will make your business flourish when you lead his children with love and respect.
As a Christian in business it is your responsibility to see beyond the monetary value of your business. Yes, it is true that money is a nice thing to have. But didn't Christ say to leave it all and follow Him without giving thought to what you will wear or eat? Just follow Him.
It is our assignment to love our neighbor, and we get to build a business while we do it. This "calling" so to speak, requires that we reach out and connect with others with the pure intent of helping them. Helping them to reach goals that we are developing the skills to reach. Sharing our skills with them. God helps us when we lose ourselves in His service.
The way this type of business is designed is that if we forget ourselves and throw ourselves into helping those who we connect with as we build... well... if we help them make money then we will naturally make money too.
What is your part in the Lord's plan. Why did He bring you to this?
He is using you as a tool. Imagine how many people will love you for your kindness, and how many people will not be looking at you with disgust because you didn't put yourself out there only to fill your own pockets. You acted as a messenger for God to show an example and help those who were in need of help... to teach them how to fish and help them hold the pole.
Remember, my friend, who you are and why you are on this Earth. It is not to selfishly go about making yourself wealthy. The Lord prospers His righteous. Be a true Christian in business. Your example counts for a lot.
I'll talk to you later!
