UK primary school admissions facing financial crisis

By Joyce Brown

A report in The Telegraph Newspaper stated that thousands of school children faced being left without primary school places in coming years because of the vital deficit in numbers of places in major towns and cities across Britain.

I perspnally know this is just the tip of iceberg. We have seen local councils across Britain being compelled to install mobile study rooms, porta-cabins and even expand faculties to avert a major acknowledgments crisis. The information follows a fast rise in the birth rate 4 years back and a general rise in the population have combined to make a surge and a demand in school admissions.

The situation has seen elders in the some areas having to seperate their kids and send them to different schools. As you can imagine this will create an impossibble situation for some elders and they can't juggle the college run and commute to work.

Many local councils and authorities have warned that the problem will reach crisis point over the next one or two years, as the amount of 4 and 5 year-olds entering state education in to primary school or child college system continues to grow.

It's been suggested by several local authorities that without a major cash injection some kids may be left without places by as early as 2015 leading to some parents needing to provide home schooling, which is another area of concern for parents. Should they consider home education and what kind of support and information is available for them if they took the choice to teach their kid or children at home.

School Admissions started as a voluntary organisation to provide help, support, information and guidance to concerned folks in the Britain. The quantity of requests for help grew and they create The School Admissions Guide book which is an in depth book on how folks of kids in Englad, Scotland or Wales can make an application for school places and ensure their child gains a place in the school that is right for everyone.
