Best Cheap Android Tablet PC - Tabtech M009S Android 2.2 2GB Tablet PC Review
The Tabtech M009S is one of the best cheap Android tablet PCs, it's one of the best selling tablets in the UK.
It's not perfect but you get what you pay for at this price and it's better than other tablets at a similar price point.
Design
It's a fairly solid design but not comparable to a high-specification tablet PC. The back is plastic and front is the screen.
There's a selection of ports for headphones, charging, and a MicroSD card but you need to use the adapter provided to get a USB port.
You also get a touch screen so it reacts to taps from your finger. The screen has very narrow viewing angles and isn't very bright.
It is built with a resistive screen. This type of screen is not as responsive as the capacitive screens that come with modern tablet computers.
It's a 7-inch tablet and this makes it light and highly portable.

You can use the tablet for browsing the web, it works fairly well given it's a cheap tablet computer. You've only got the option to connect via Wi-Fi though.
Android 2.2 is a Smartphone operating system which works ok on the 7-inch format. Icons are relatively easy to hit and you have access to the full Android Market range of apps.
You can play music and video on the tablet and games/apps run just as you would expect on an Android Smartphone with a similar hardware specification.
Storage space is limited so you need to buy a MicroSD card to extend the space for files.
The processor on the tablet is relatively weak so can take longer to perform actions and can be a little laggy. But, it's not bad considering the price.
Battery life is ok at this price range but low compared with tablet PCs that are more expensive. Expect 3-4 hours of general use before you run out of power and need to re-charge.
