How to Get Back Links with Article Writing and Get To The Top of the Search Engine Results

by Victor Krumm

Maybe the best single methodology of efficiently building one way backlinks is one of the oldest: write a top-notch, topical article containing 2 keyword targeted anchor text back links and post to a free article submission directory where it'll bring exposure and traffic to your internet site together with unsolicited back links that are important to the ranking each of your web pages has with the search engines.

Know how to do this correctly and you will get many of your pages to the top of Google; that is, on its first or second page of Search Results. Why is this critical? Because people searching the Net are surprisingly habitual and their patterns of search foreseeable. Time after time again, it has been demonstrated that a searcher clicks on the #1 Search Result almost 40% of the time and nearly 89% of all searchers click one of the first 10 Search Results.

Even more staggering is this: the websites displayed on the first two pages of Search Results get 99% of all web traffic clicks and all the other web pages having the same keyword (there could be tens of thousands) end up splitting just 1% of all net traffic!

The Web is crammed with sites which offer $1,000 courses teaching SEO and companies charging hundreds or thousands of dollars a month for S.E.O services.

Now, if you are made of cash you may give one of those online marketers a try however in reality many of these outfits only do the same thing you can do yourself, free: build back links.

In basic terms, the more links you get to each web page, the higher you will rank.

Notice that the operative phrase here is "webpage" not "website". You see, every search engine "crawls" each of your web pages individually and allots a rank to it. In the electronic world of search engines, a "website" (that is, your web site name) is nothing more than one of many individual internet pages, each standing alone and each having its own rank in search results.

Imagine, as an example, your internet site has 100 pages. Some of those pages might make it to the 1st page of Google, some to the second page, others lost in the huge universe of the web.

Since your traffic is primarily influenced by where every net page is displayed, it is in your interest to figure out why some pages rank so well and others so poorly.

The answer, at least in important part, is linked to both the quality and quantity of back links pointing to every one of your internet pages. Other factors being equal (like on page SEO), get more and better back links to a page than your competitors and you'll leap over them.

Fact is, while some keywords have so much competition and so many back links you and I can never hope to break into the top 10, many internet pages on the 1st page of an S.E.s Search Results have only a handful of back links and are structurally weak enough they are ready to be displaced.

And, that's where intelligent and consistent use of web article directory websites comes in. It's all part of SEO linking strategy:

1. Use free tools to find keywords having good daily traffic but low number of competing web pages for the keyword

2. Build every web page around these great keywords and using the keyword in the URL and headline of the page

3. Create articles pertinent to the net page and post different versions (using modern "spinning" technology) to dozens or perhaps hundreds of free article directories. Each article should have two links in the author resource box, one linking to the home page and another linking to the page you need to promote. Each link must contain keyword targeted text for the keyword you would like to promote.

4. Post articles frequently and consistently, maintaining a tally of your web page's ranking. As you climb in the rankings, post more fresh articles with back links to your page.

Before you know it, through the magic of "spinning" quality content, and article directories, you will find your net page at the top pages of Google.
