Watching Live TV

by Slaglora Stanemina

Live TV is essentially used for watching live programs; these live shows usually include boxing matches, emergency announcements and in rare cases ?world-changing happenings. This service however, isn't restricted to an old television box with Technicolor settings. We are currently in an age of amazingly compact phones as well as multimedia power houses like iPods ?all gadgets that make streaming live tv easy and attainable.

Live TV nowadays is as flexible as a meaning as it is a word. Live TV today means is just an app or a URL away from connecting to a favorite channel. Forget about radio waves and Technicolor televisions; now is the present of Wi-Fi technology and application rich portable devices like iPhone and net book laptops. Just find a Wi-Fi hotspot and order some Starbucks coffee while you watch your favorite Baseball game.

The world gasped as the Apollo 11, the first moon landing made by humans had finally reached earth as news. Live TV not only told everybody how they did it - they all saw how they did it. The first baby steps into a dusty moon, our dusty moon ?as billions upon billions hear of their success. People from all over the world could see the success of mankind ?all on live television. Imagine that.

Setting up live TV is relatively easy once you put everything in place; all you need is an internet connection with a decent speed, a reasonable running computer set and you can be on your way to search for the shows you like online. There are handfuls websites out there that have a lot of websites online in which you can view freely, such shows are from Spike TV or Hulu.

Pay-Per-View is usually associated with live TV, since subscribers can tune in to a live show by paying a certain amount. But due to the World Wide Web's increasing popularity over the years, these live shows aren't mutually exclusive to television sets anymore; in fact aside from the television's improvement of crisp clear resolutions, internets can also provide high-definition videos to its paid subscribers.
