Working in Web Design
This young student has been thinking a lot about going back to school. He has searched the internet for different types of colleges. The problem is he really can't decide what he wants to be when he grows up. He has thought a lot about web design as an option.
He likes to draw and is extremely creative. He is also very good at mathematics, which is many students least favorite subject. English is probably his worst subject, so he won't be a writer anytime soon. Perhaps some other educational options for him would be accounting or maybe even business management.
He could also put his creativity to work by studying a creative business field such as advertising. In retrospect, that may involve too much writing though, but it is something to think about. He really hates writing. It seems that web design might actually be the perfect option for this kid.
Designing web pages would combine his creativity with his mathematical skills. When designing web pages you need to have a good eye for layout, color and design. You also need to understand different programming languages that include a lot of math work and technical skill. It sounds perfect for him.
Some of the classes he will be taking would be classes that teach different graphic art programs like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. He will also study programming languages such as HTML, WordPress and Flash. Most importantly he will get hands on experience in building these sites which is invaluable.
Web design seems to be the very best bet for our imaginary job seeker. Looking for a program at a school that specializes in design and computer related works would be best. The hardest part is behind him, and now he'll just need to get accepted and go to school.
